Training tutors to a
standard worth trusting
We are a tutor training programme, not an agency. Our single job is to prepare tutors properly, so students and families get someone who knows how to teach, not just what to teach.
Make good tutoring teachable
One programme, one standard, for every tutor we train.
Plenty of capable people begin tutoring with strong subject knowledge and almost no training in how to actually teach it one to one. They improvise, and students get an uneven experience.
SU Campus was built to close that gap. We run one clear, structured programme that takes a tutor from subject expert to confident practitioner, and we hold everyone to the same professional standard before they work with a student.
How we train
Four principles shape every part of the programme.
Structure over shortcuts
Modules run in a deliberate order, each building on the last, so tutors develop a method rather than a bag of tips picked up at random.
Practice, not just theory
Live Zoom sessions put tutors in front of trainers and peers to teach, ask questions, and get feedback before they ever sit with a real student.
Safeguarding as a foundation
A dedicated safeguarding course sits at the heart of the programme, treated as essential knowledge rather than a box to tick.
One consistent standard
Every tutor finishes to the same bar, and completion can be confirmed on request through our verification team.
Reasons the training holds weight
A dedicated safeguarding course
Not a slide at the end. Tutors complete real safeguarding training and understand their duty of care.
Live, mentored teaching
Trainers watch tutors teach in live sessions and give direct feedback, so standards are seen, not assumed.
A defined, sequenced curriculum
Four core modules with clear objectives mean every tutor covers the same essential ground.
Verification on completion
Completion can be confirmed through our verification team, so claims of training can be checked.
